Healing Your Body the Natural Way Homeopathy Complexes

Homeopathy has become very popular the last 10 years and many people have experienced the benefits of homeopathy complexes, this is in spite of the fact that it is not accepted by mainstream medicine They do not see homeopathy as a possible treatment for diseases in fact homeopathy goes against everything they know about how to heal an ailment

Homeopathy has become very popular the last 10 years and many people have experienced the benefits of homeopathy complexes, this is in spite of the fact that it is not accepted by mainstream medicine. They do not see homeopathy as a possible treatment for diseases in fact homeopathy goes against everything they know about how to heal an ailment.

Mainstream medicine always seeks a way to treat and stop the symptoms by suppressing them and homeopathy stimulates the whole body to heal it self and to get rid of the ailment this can result in an increasing of the symptoms for a short while. In this way you could say that homeopathy fights fire with fire. A combination of remedies is used as homeopathy complexes to encourage the symptoms to heal the body in a natural manner. Symptoms are not suppressed but encouraged. There are more and more people who have experienced this to be a good way to treat (minor) diseases.

Helping your body to heal

When you have a cold for example, your nose will be running, and the conventional approach would be to go to the drugstore and take some over the counter medication that will help your nose from producing more and more mucus. If you use homeopathy complexes to get rid of the cold it will probably intensify the runny nose. This sounds not nice but the meaning of encouraging the nose to run more is that you are helping your body to clean itself, and that runny nose helps your body to do just that and get rid of the toxins in your body. The theory of homeopathy is here to speed up the process.

Minimizing the amount of drug by diluting it to the smallest dose possible and maximize the effects by variation of the doses to allow the body to choose the right one. Homeopathy complexes will often combine multiple remedies in one complex and let the body decide which one of the remedies is best to treat the disease.

Choose your own treatment

There are people who want to treat any disease with homeopathy, we advise you to use your common sense here, there are and always will be diseases where homeopathy might not have the right treatment for you. To get the best of both worlds what you can do is to find a homeopath who also has an medical degree and will prescribe what you need whether it is conventional medicine or homeopathy complexes.

For everyday small illnesses like skin problems, sinus problems, a cold there is no reason to not seek help with a homeopath although the above s always preferred. You will find that most homeopathy remedies are very similar to your grandmothers remedies. There are so many homeopathy complexes that more and more people find useful and much better than the conventional medicine that it is worth to give it a try. Most homeopathic medicine have much less or no side effects than regular medicine especially with diseases like arthritis where the regular medicine still has found no cure.

Homeopathy:Proven Alternative Medicine or A Placebo

Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician disenchanted with these methods, began to develop a theory based on three principles the law of similars, the minimum dose, and the single remedyThe word homeopathy is derived from the Greek words for like (homoios) and suffering (pathos)

Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician disenchanted with these methods, began to develop a theory based on three principles: the law of similars, the minimum dose, and the single remedy. The word homeopathy is derived from the Greek words for like (homoios) and suffering (pathos). With the law of similars, Hahnemann theorized that if a large amount of a substance causes certain symptoms in a healthy person, smaller amounts of the same substance can treat those symptoms in someone who is ill.

The basis of his theory took shape after a strong dose of the malaria treatment quinine caused his healthy body to develop symptoms similar to ones caused by the disease. He continued to test his theory on himself as well as family and friends with different herbs, minerals and other substances. He called these experiments "provings."

As we might expect, the intensity of the symptoms caused by the original proving was harrowing. So Hahnemann began decreasing the doses to see how little of a substance could still produce signs of healing. With the minimum dose, or law of infinitesimals, Hahnemann believed that a substance strength and effectiveness increased the more it was diluted.

Minuscule doses were prepared by repeatedly diluting the active ingredient by factors of 10. A "6X" preparation (the X is the Roman numeral for 10) is a 1-to-10 dilution repeated six times, leaving the active ingredient as one part per million. Essential to the process of increasing potency while decreasing the actual amount of the active ingredient is vigorous shaking after each dilution.

Some homeopathic remedies are so dilute, no molecules of the healing substance remain. Even with sophisticated technology now available, analytical chemists may find it difficult or impossible to identify any active ingredient. But the homeopathic belief is that the substance has left its imprint or a spirit-like essence that stimulates the body to heal itself.

Critics of homeopathy point out that no way such a dilute medicine could work. People are feeling better because of the placebo effect. Critics also say the research in homeopathy is very unimpressive. Proponents of homeopathy point out to numerous trials that have been successful.

Recent homeopathic trials include a trial done by A Swiss-UK review of 110 trials found no convincing evidence the treatment worked any better than a placebo. However, there seems to be many problems with this type of trail.

The University of Limberg investigators, who are all epidemiologists, found 107 controlled studies in homeopathy. Most of these studies did not meet the research standard that they were looking for. However, 22 trials meet their strict criteria. The researchers used trials with a large number of people, double blind studies where neither physician or participant knew who was receiving the remedy or the placebo and a random assignment of patients in a treatment group.

Of the 22 trials, 15 were in the favor of Homeopathy working better than a placebo. The other 7 trials showed Homeopathy working equivalent to a placebo. This is almost a 2 to 1 ratio of successful homeopathic trials to unsuccessful studies.

Is There a Homeopathy Remedy for Diabetes?

There are a lot of Homeopathic medicines for many different kind of diseases and they are usually a very good alternative for taking regular medication especially when these regular drugs have a lot of side effects Homeopathy takes a very different approach then regular treatment because it does not (just) at the illness but it takes much more a holistic approach end looks at the whole person both physical as mental

There are a lot of Homeopathic medicines for many different kind of diseases and they are usually a very good alternative for taking regular medication especially when these regular drugs have a lot of side effects. Homeopathy takes a very different approach then regular treatment because it does not (just) at the illness but it takes much more a holistic approach end looks at the whole person both physical as mental. A homeopathy remedy for diabetes starts with this principle and is meant to regain health in the entire system and not only suppress the symptoms of diabetes.

Homeopathy remedy for diabetes starts with a complete different viewpoint

With diabetes the body has ceased to make enough insulin and this results in high blood sugar levels. Most people who get diabetes get pills to start with and if the diabetes progresses they even need to take insulin shots. The insulin pills and shots stabilize the blood sugar levels. With the homeopathic view at diabetes there is a big difference in the perception of this disease and therefore the remedy is completely different.

If we assume the symptoms of diabetes are a direct consequence of our body trying to regain homeostasis we would not suppress them the homeopathy remedy for diabetes would rather be to attempt to induce those symptoms this would help the body to heal itself. The body is stimulated to plug in to the abilities to heal itself and does this according to the principles by treating like with likes.

The homeopathic view on diabetes is that it is caused by different factors such as internal environment, external environment and emotional status of the diabetic patient. When you follow this view it is reasonable that the homeopathy remedy for diabetes should be focused on these three different factors and you should treat the body, spirit and mind of the person.

Diabetes is said to be a silent killer, they mean by this that you can have diabetes for a while and not have noticed it all. At the moment you are being diagnosed you are sometimes already at the stage where the diabetes is so severe it has already done damage to the little blood vessels and you need to start insulin shots immediately. Diabetes can be very dangerous and we are in now way advising you to not get a regular treatment if you need this, we only show you that there are in some cases other options.

When you do have noticed the symptoms of diabetes at an early stage there is a lot you can do with a diet, losing weight, more exercises and so on and at this stage we can advise you to go see a homeopath and talk about a homeopathy remedy for diabetes. Do not expect this to work overnight, it can take you up to two years to regulate diabetes with homeopathy. And do not forget the other things we pointed out like weight loss (if you are overweight) and regular exercise are also very important. But when you can regulate your diabetes with the use of homeopathy in the long run, you are much better of then with insulin to control your blood sugar.

Natural Remedies for Eczema May Be the Answer to Your Problem

Finding a treatment that works when you suffer from eczema can be extremely difficult There are some regular treatment option that do work but also have some very serious side effects

Finding a treatment that works when you suffer from eczema can be extremely difficult. There are some regular treatment option that do work but also have some very serious side effects. These side effects can be so severe that it leaves you wondering if this kind of treatment is really worth taking this medication. There are some other solution and they can be found in the so called alternative medical practices.

Before we had the "regular" medicine we have had natural medical practices for centuries, and we did treat all kind of conditions this way. From that time we have forgotten allot of the natural treatments but luckily not everything. Natural remedies for eczema may be the answer if you are experiencing problems with treating your eczema. For example homeopathy for eczema is a remedy where the problem area is treated with an infusion or you receive a medicine that can be ingested and that will contain a compound of medicine that will relief the symptoms of your eczema.

Although there already is allot of scientific research that proves the benefits of natural remedies for eczema like homeopathy, herbal treatment and so on there is still a considerable amount of controversy about it. There are still many doctors, insurance companies and other medical advisers who say there is not a shred of evidence that homeopathy is working and it will only work as a placebo effect. However there are some changes the last few years there are more and more regular doctors who, after they have finished medical school, also get an education in homeopathic treatment.

There are many people who find relief with a natural treatment like homeopathy and for those people who are experiencing a lot of problems with the regular treatment of eczema they should just try it because it is really worth it. The best way to do this is to find a doctor who is also a homeopath. Or a homeopath who came highly recommend by someone you trust. In the alternative medical practices there are some people that might take advantage of your problems and you should always be aware of these kind of people.

There are also other natural remedies for eczema, for example there are many herbal solutions available, some are ointments other are pills you should take orally. The best you can do is some research online and look for comments from other people who have tried it. And if you think it could be something for you, you should just try it. Make sure however to not try out more than one medicine at one time, because otherwise you do not know what works and what doesn''t. it is also a very good idea to tell your primary physician or specialist of the alternative medicine you are trying. Whether they approve or not they should know because it could have an effect on there regular treatment.

There are many natural remedies for eczema and your task is to find the right one fore your body. The most important thing you should remember is that there are thousands of people who use this kind of alternative treatments who really benefit from it.

Schools of Homeopathic Medicine

The second year of instruction at schools of homeopathic medicine offer advanced studies in the philosophy of homeopathy, Materia Medica, pathology, and clinical training.

Whether you''re a professional medical provider or a student fresh out of college, enrolling in any one of the schools of homeopathic medicine can certainly improve your range of healthcare services. Having the knowledge and training to offer natural healthcare remedies from animal, mineral and plant sources, homeopathic practitioners believe in healing the "whole" person and do not merely treat dis-ease.

Though the practice declined in the mid 1900''s, the renewed interest in alternative and complementary medicine has sparked a growing demand for health alternatives like homeopathy. So after you''ve explored the field and you''ve decided to acquire comprehensive training at one of the growing number of schools of homeopathic medicine, be prepared to commit three to four years to achieve your certification in homeopathy.

Earning a degree from your local college or university is recommended. As with most medical programs, schools of homeopathic medicine typically require prerequisite education from an accredited college or university.

First-year studies at schools of homeopathic medicine include in-depth training in anatomy, physiology, principles and philosophies of homeopathy, acute therapeutics (homeopathy in first-aid), Materia Medica, and repertory (index of symptoms and associated remedies), among others.

The second year of instruction at schools of homeopathic medicine offer advanced studies in the philosophy of homeopathy, Materia Medica, pathology, and clinical training.

Students who are in their third (and often final) year at schools of homeopathic medicine gain more advanced clinical training, as well as in-depth education in medical sciences, case management, therapeutics, practice management, and more. Upon successful completion, graduates receive certification and may work in fields of medical research, teaching, or as professional practitioners.

If you (or someone you know) are interested in learning more about this or other alternative medicine programs, let professional training within fast-growing industries like massage therapy, naturopathy, acupuncture, oriental medicine, Reiki, and others get you started! Your Guide to Understanding Homeopathy - the Homeopathic Revolution Why Famous People & Cultural Heroes Choose Homeopathy

Inspired by Coretta Scott-King, who chose to be treated with homeopathic medicine before her death, Dana Ullman, MPH was driven to research how many famous people and notable figures have pursued homeopathy as an alternative to conventional medicine. As the practical "gateway" to understanding the phenomenal history and influences of present day homeopathy, Ullman's The Homeopathic Revolution Why Famous People & Cultural Heroes Choose Homeopathy reveals the many aspects surrounding the origin and impact this wisdom medicine has made on an international level.

Inspired by Coretta Scott-King, who chose to be treated with homeopathic medicine before her death, Dana Ullman, MPH was driven to research how many famous people and notable figures have pursued homeopathy as an alternative to conventional medicine. As the practical "gateway" to understanding the phenomenal history and influences of present day homeopathy, Ullman's The Homeopathic Revolution: Why Famous People & Cultural Heroes Choose Homeopathy reveals the many aspects surrounding the origin and impact this wisdom medicine has made on an international level.

On reviewing Ullman's book, one can clearly see the passion and knowledge driving America's leading advocate for homeopathic medicine. For the open-minded and skeptics alike; the book invites all walks of life to discover the hidden secrets of homeopathy. For example, did you know that England's Royal Family subscribes to homeopathic treatment? "Much like the tradition as the passing of the crown, they have been under homeopathic care since the 1830s," says Ullman.

While it's evident that homeopathy is widely accepted in Europe, there has been resistance to the field among the medical community in the United States. "There are several reasons for this. First, there is a 'this for that' medical thinking, where there is an assumption that there is ONE medicine or herb for everyone with the same disease. Homeopaths are too scientifically-minded to make this simplistic assumption. We believe that one person's migraine is different from another's. Further, we do not believe that any disease is local to one part of the body. Arthritis is not in the joints, heart disease is not limited to the heart, etc.," he says. "This is not the way nature works. We treat syndromes, the complex of symptoms in which the disease is just a part and not disease. Also, we live in America where there's a medical machismo, where increasingly stronger and more powerful drugs are used but they also have more side effects ? and short-term benefits. There's a good reason why conventional medicine changes decade to decade -- it seems to provide a therapeutic effect that is more seductive (and short-term) than really curative, with some obvious exceptions."

In his book, Ullman discusses famous celebrities and influential leaders, past and present, who have utilized homeopathic medicine, including Tina Turner, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Cher, Emily Dickinson, Pamela Anderson, several American presidents, Mother Teresa, a number of Popes, and countless others.

"We have much of what we know from people like Tina Turner," says Ullman, who credits homeopathy with curing her tuberculosis. "The reason homeopathy became popular in Europe and America is the spectacular results for treating cholera, typhoid, pneumonia, infectious diseases - our results are stellar," he says. "Our methods are smarter and more effective at strengthening the immune system, and preventing infections, therein."

During the early 1900s, several major corporations like General Motors (GM), General Electric (GE) and Montgomery Ward actually provided onsite homeopathic clinics for employees. "These were not just some new age people -- they were very practically-minded corporate leaders," says Ullman.

While principles of homeopathy have been around for hundreds of years, Ullman explains that the system of homeopathy wasn't developed until Samuel Hahnemann, MD came into the picture during the early 1800s. Within the pages of Ullman's book, one will discover that the only physician to have a monument dedicated to him in the Nation's Capitol, (Washington, D.C.) is none other than Hahnemann.

For prospective students interested in pursuing a homeopathic career, this should be the first book interested individuals should study. With a forward written by Dr. Peter Fisher, physician to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, The Homeopathic Revolution: Why Famous People & Cultural Heroes Choose Homeopathy will certainly prove to be required reading for any intellectual literary and homeopathic medicine collection.

What Is Proving in Hemeopathy?

Some modern homeopaths are exploring the use of more esoteric substances, known as imponderables because they do not originate from a material substance but from electromagnetic or electrical energy presumed to have been captured by direct exposure, Positronium, and Electricitas (electricity) or through the use of a telescope (Polaris). Recent ventures by homeopaths into esoteric substances include Tempesta (thunderstorm), and Berlin wall.

Lets look at an example: If your child accidentally ingests certain poisons, you may be advised to administer Syrup of Ipecac to induce vomiting. Ipecac is derived from the root of a South American plant called Ipecacuanha. The name, in the native language, means the plant by the road which makes you throw up. Eating the plant causes vomiting.

When a group of healthy volunteers took this substance to determine the effects of this drug, they found that the drug induced other symptoms as well. The mouth retained much saliva. The tongue was very clean. There was a cough so severe that it led to gagging and vomiting. There was incessant nausea. While it is expected that vomiting would usually relieve the nausea, this was not the case.

Such an experiment, using healthy volunteers, is called a proving, and it is the homeopaths source of information about the action of a drug.

Of what use could this plant be? If a person were suffering from a gagging cough after a cold, or a woman were experiencing morning sickness with incessant nausea that is not relieved by vomiting, then Ipecacuanha, administered in a minute dose, especially prepared by a homeopathic pharmacy in accordance with FDA approved guidelines, can allay the similar suffering.

Today, about 3000 remedies are used in homeopathy; about 300 are based on comprehensive Materia Medica information, about 1500 on relatively fragmentary knowledge, and the rest are used experimentally in difficult clinical situations based on the law of similars, either without knowledge of their homeopathic properties or through knowledge independent of the law of similars.

Gout Treated with Homeopathy

Homeopathy treats holistically, it does not treat the symptoms of the disease, it targets the root cause of dis-ease in the sick person. Not all people who suffer from gout will have the same symptoms, that's why treating all individuals with the same prescription drug will produce so many varied responses.

Some may experience instantaneous relief without any apparent side effects, while others receive no relief and may have many aggravations from the drug, all in accordance with individual susceptibilities and predispositions of the patient.

This is the argument for treating the patient holistically and individually, and this is the method classical homeopathy uses to treat all disease. Every disease has its particular package of symptoms attached to it, but exactly how they will manifest in the individual patient will depend on their susceptibilities.

Homeopathy is interested in the emotional and environmental factors which may have triggered the dis-ease in the patient. The fact that the patient has gout in the toe, knee, ankle or wherever is of no importance, its how the patient reacts to their disease, and what other accompanying symptoms they may have.

Some patients may have a low pain threshold, become angry, and aggressive, abuse their carers, blame others for their problems and demand immediate relief to their suffering.Other patients may bear their gout with great fortitude and accept their disease as part of life, they may demand much of themselves and very little of others.

Here are two vastly different personalities who may have what is called gout, however, the homeopathic remedies chosen will be based on their individual personalities, not on the outward manifestations of their disease.

Homeopathy will treat your gout with a remedy which produces similar symptoms to what you have. If gout in your big toe wakes you at 3-00am on a bitterly cold morning and you hit the bathroom and plunge your toe into icy cold water to gain relief while at the same time you are shouting profanities and abuse to all, it is important to take note of this symptom, for this is an individual expression of your dis-ease.

It may appear strange to use a remedy which causes similar symptoms to what you may be experiencing, but this is the way of homeopathy. It does not treat superficially, it treats the whole person, and although the remedy does not have side effects, if the remedy has been well chosen it should cause an aggravation of your existing symptoms.

Although you may find this bit of news disturbing for we all like to have our symptoms palliated, sooner rather than later, but this is not cure, it is a masking effect and symptoms will soon return with greater force.

This aggravating effect of the remedy has matched your energy, and you will find that your symptoms will slowly fade. Symptoms which disappear in the reverse order of their coming are removed permanently.Gout treated with homeopathy will return you to health and vitality.

Looking for An Acid Reflux Homeopathy Approach?

When you seek assistance from a doctor for your acid reflux problem, they generally do an examination, and in some cases further testing. When they determine that acid reflux is the cause of symptoms, the advice is often to make some changes to the way you eat and the way you sleep, and they may also give you a prescription. The most popular prescription is a proton pump inhibitor that slows down acid production while allowing your esophagus and other tissues to heal. However, not everyone wants to take a medication, and sometimes, they simply don''t work. When this happens, you might want to look into some acid reflux homeopathy remedies to ease your suffering.

Medications can work, but some worry about side effects, and others don''t want to take something that will only be a temporary fix before they are right back on the same medication all over again. That is quite understandable. The difference between western medicine and homeopathy is that medicine is given based on condition, and homeopathy is often given on the basis of the symptoms. The thought is that by healing each symptom, the entire problem can then be put under control.

You may be seeing your doctor for your acid reflux, and that is a great idea, even if you are feeling well. You should also consider homeopathy for your acid reflux as something that needs guidance as well. You can find a homeopathy doctor in many communities. They will go over your symptoms, as well as ask questions about your whole state of health. They can give you natural herbs and remedies, and they may also suggest other methods like acupuncture or massage therapy in some cases.

There are times when acid reflux is aggravated by slow digestion. This means speeding things up to the normal speed at which your digestive system works. You can do a few things to aid in digestion, and you may find they are all that you need. You may find increasing your intake of digestive enzymes, either through eating raw foods or taking a supplement or having ginger as a digestive stimulant helps. Think about eating smaller meals, and not eating within a few hours of bed time. That will help the supplements work better and will keep your stomach moving.

There are other problems that can be a result of leaking acid that acid reflux homeopathy may also address. This could be an ailment like a sore throat, leakage into and damage of the lungs, excess gas, indigestion, and painful bloating. Those are all treatable, and usually targeting the digestive system can eliminate them. A good homeopathic doctor knows what to do and how to do it, and will go by your current health and state of being as well as your past medical problems when deciding on your treatment.

Remember that acid reflux homeopathy is not just about supplements and herbs. It is also about balancing the harmony of your body, and ridding you of your symptoms. If you find you are healed, remember to continue to see both your medical and homeopathic doctors on occasion to check for any reoccurrence of the problem. You can feel really great when you get your acid reflux under control, but it can return if you don''t solve the root cause of the problem.

How to Get Started with Homeopathy Crohns Relief

Choosing Crohn''s-friendly foods isn''t the only way a sufferer can improve their condition, other treatments such as homeopathy crohns relief may also be beneficial for some. Homeopathy is a unique type of remedy that treats the person as a whole. Therefore, the type of remedy that is prescribed is based on a person''s mental and physical wellbeing. The treatments administered focus on ridding the person of their specific problems. Thus, no two people will be provided with the same treatments.

In order to receive proper homeopathy crohns treatment, you will need to visit a qualified homeopath to have your condition properly accessed. That being said, the following are five examples of homeopathic treatments you may be prescribed based on your symptoms:

Note: The vast majority of homeopathy treatments are derived from natural substances that come from minerals, plants and animals. A remedy is made by diluting the natural substance through a specific process without destroying its healing properties. Most remedies are extremely diluted, taken orally, and are available in tablet, pellet or liquid forms.

Argentum nitricum: This homeopathic crohns remedy is administered to those who suffer from an upset digestive system that is also accompanied by nervousness and/or anxiety. Such a person often experiences symptoms of nausea, bloating, tummy rumbling, flatulence and sudden, intense diarrhea with a greenish hue. Diarrhea may suddenly occur after eating excessive salty or sweet foods or directly after ingesting water. In addition, a person prescribed this treatment is also likely to be impulsive, expressive, and suffer from claustrophobia issues.

Asafetida: This homeopathy crohns substance is given to those who feel as if their entire digestive tract is constricted. The individual may feel as though they have a lump moving upwards from the stomach or have a bubble in their throat. Their abdomen generally feels inflated; however, the person has difficulty passing gas for relief. This person likely has painful bouts of constipation, explosive cases of diarrhea, and possibly regurgitates small amounts of food. This individual may have strong emotions and is quick to become worked up.

Colocynthis: An individual who is experiencing sharp pains and cramping in their abdomen or pubic bone that urges them to bend double or lie down is often prescribed this homeopathy crohns. The pain that is experienced usually worsens before diarrhea passes, after drinking water or eating fruit. Many of these symptoms are also triggered by emotions, especially anger.

Lilium tigrinum: This is usually administered to a person who is constipated throughout the day but is plagued with sudden diarrhea the next morning. This person tends to feel as if there is a lump in their rectum that feels worse when they stand. This person may develop haemorrhoids, and experience tightening in their chest. The symptoms are often triggered by strong emotions, and excitement that often accelerates into feelings of irritability or rage.

Podophyllum: This remedy for homeopathy crohns is often prescribed to those who suffer from abdominal pain and cramping, and have a sinking, empty feeling in their gut that is followed by very loose, and watery, foul-smelling diarrhea. The person may also experience constipation or bowel movements that feature pasty, yellow stool with mucus. This individual tends to feel worse in the early hours of morning and later feel weak, faint or headachy afterwards. An individual who suffers from these symptoms may also experience stiff joints and muscles.

Homeopathy crohns is generally safe when administered by a professional, especially remedies that have been extremely diluted. However, it is not uncommon for a person to feel worse during treatment. This usually only occurs for a brief period and is usually not uncommon. However, extreme or prolonged side effects such as worsening or no relief from symptoms should be brought to the attention of your health care provider.

Although homeopathy may be an ideal complimentary form of treatment for Crohn''s, it should not replace a doctor''s advice. In addition, if you have a serious case of Crohn''s with persistent symptoms, you may require medical aid for relief and to get the condition under control. Therefore, make sure you consult your health care provider about homeopathy crohns treatments before you begin.

Is Homeopathy Safe?

You have visited a study group, bought a homeopathic over-the-counter remedy or investigated the use of a single remedy on the advice of a friend. You have had a small success and would like to use homeopathy to tackle a more important health problem, or you want a homeopath to take care of your family. Where do you go from here?

Homeopathy is practiced by a wide variety of health-care practitioners, including medical doctors, osteopaths, naturopathic physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dentists, veterinarians, chiropractors, acupuncturists, nurse midwives, and podiatrists, as well as by professional homeopaths, who practice only homeopathy and are unlicensed in any other discipline.

The problem for the consumer is that the practitioners level of competence in homeopathy often has little to do with his or her type of licensure. The best test of qualifications is whether they have been certified in homeopathy. The CCH credential (Certified Classical Homeopath) is excellent, as well as the DHt (Diplomate in Homeotherapeutics, available for MDs and DOs), and the DHANP (Diplomate of the Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians, available for naturopathic physicians). For veterinarians, the credential CVH indicates that they are a Certified Veterinary Homeopath.

What kind of questions will help you identify your chosen practitioner? The questions will certainly vary with each case, but a few pertinent ones might be: Does the practitioner specialize in homeopathy? Does the practitioner use classical homeopathy? Where was the practitioner trained? How long has the practitioner actively been using homeopathy? Has the practitioner had experience with the diagnostic category in which your condition fits?

Some other important issues might be: how distant the practitioner is from your home and whether or not your insurance company will cover the visit. As a general rule, if the type of practitioner is covered by your insurance, then the visit will be covered. You may also consider whether the practitioner includes other therapies in his or her practice and if you would like to use those therapies.

The choices open to you will vary according to where you live. If you are in a major metropolitan area, you will have more choices, although many practitioners are spread throughout the United States. Remember, use the resources close at hand, and good luck with your homeopathic experience.

Homeopathy A Good Companion to Chiropractic? Naturally!

If you''re looking for a natural treatment alternative and a boost to your practice, homeopathy may be the answer. At least, so says Dr. Gill Gilly. The 83-year-old naturopath says he studied homeopathy in Europe after his "retirement" as a minister because he''d seen a little of what the natural healing method could accomplish.

"I''d seen great, fantastic results, and I wanted to know more about it," shares Dr. Gilly.

Gilly, who was born in a small town in Oklahoma, says their only town doctor was a homeopath who also did manipulations...thus introducing Dr. Gilly to natural medicine and chiropractic at an early age. That and other encounters throughout his life eventually led him to a new career in homeopathy. Because of his exposure to both homeopathy and chiropractic, he quickly saw how the two could fit together.

"The average patient today is always looking for the magic pill. They''re used to taking medicine," explains Gilly. "The people who actually try chiropractic realize the adjustments and the treatments maintain their health, but they like to feel they''re doing something, too."

Gilly says many chiropractors are aware of homeopathy''s effectiveness, but don''t realize how it can benefit their practice. That''s why he sometimes comes out of retirement to conduct seminars that show DCs exactly what homeopathy can do for them.

"A lot of doctors have heard of homeopathy, they realize what it can do, but I try to give not just the background, but a really strong, working knowledge," says Dr. Gilly. One example, he says, is his workshop at the International Chiropractic Appreciation Mega Event (ICAME) in Las Vegas in January. "My workshop will help doctors understand how and why it works with them."

Another reason Gilly says homeopathy is such a good fit for chiropractors is that it isn''t time-consuming or difficult?or dangerous.

"The average doctor today, whether a medical doctor, chiropractor, naturopath or dentist, concentrates on a specialty," he says. "That''s why homeopathy is so good, because it can do no harm. It''s never going to have a side-effect."

Dr. Gilly also says that, while chiropractic care can be effective for many conditions, homeopathy can bridge the gaps, such as joint pain from arthritis.

"People who have discomfort can get relief from the discomfort. Homeopathy can help a patient respond quicker to your adjustments. And, of course, that builds your reputation as a healer."

And, Gilly says, boosting your reputation as a healer can boost your practice to almost unheard-of levels.

"With homeopathy, you can support the treatment you''re giving, and you can do it harmlessly and effectively. In fact, it usually surpasses the expected results of both the patient and the doctor. The doctor that uses homeopathy sees his practice go right through the roof," he says.

"When someone who has been to ten other doctors comes to your practice and starts getting results, they can''t wait to tell all their friends and relatives. Within a very short time, it builds."

What Is Classical Homeopathy?

Classical homeopathy is generally defined as a system of medical treatment based on the use of minute quantities of remedies that in larger doses produce effects similar to those of the disease being treated. It is believed that very small doses of a medication could have very powerful healing effects because their potency could be affected by vigorous and methodical shaking. This is referred to this alleged increase in potency by vigorous shaking as dynamization. It is also thought succussion could release immaterial and spiritual powers, thereby making substances more active. Tapping on a leather pad or the heel of the hand was alleged to double the dilution.

Examples include: the use of an isopathic (disease associated) agent as a first prescription in a stuck case, when the beginning of disease coincides with a specific event such as vaccination; the use of a chemically related substance when a remedy fails yet seems well-indicated; and more recently, the use of substances based on their natural classification (the periodic table or biological taxonomy). This last approach is considered to be promising by some in the homeopathic community, because it allows for grouping remedies and classifying the ever-burgeoning Materia Medica, but is rejected by many purists because it involves speculation about remedy action without proper provings.

There are estimated to be more than 100,000 physicians practicing homeopathy worldwide, with an estimated 500 million people receiving treatment. More than 12,000 medical doctors and licensed health care practitioners administer homeopathic treatment in the UK, France, and Germany. Since 2001, homeopathy is regulated in the European Union by Directive 2001/83/EC; the latest amendments make it compulsory for member states to implement a simple registration procedure for homeopathic remedies.

In the UK, homeopathic remedies may be sold over the counter. The UK has five homeopathic hospitals where treatment, funded by the National Health Service, is available and many regional clinics. Homeopathy is not practiced by most of the medical profession, but there is a core of public support, including from the Prince of Wales.

Homeopathy 101

Homeopathy: What It Is

Treating illness with homeopathy is not a new practice. In fact, in many European countries it is no longer considered "alternative" medicine. In France, for example, over 30% of general practitioners prescribe homeopathic remedies. In Britain, the number is well over 40%. Although homeopathy is not as common in America, it continues to gain increasing respect within the medical community and has offered many Americans an alternative form of self-care.

What Are The Benefits?

Quite simply, homeopathic remedies offer a natural approach to healthcare. Its healing method places its emphasis on the ability of one's own body to heal itself. Homeopathic medicines are natural, effective, inexpensive and are without side effects.

What Are The Basics Of The Homeopathic Philosophy?

The philosophy of classical homeopathy is over 200 years old. Historically, classical homeopathy has become known as a medical system used for a variety of acute and chronic healthcare problems. It works by administering natural "remedies" which reinforce the body's natural defense system.

This therapeutic method was created by a German physician and chemist, Samuel Hahnemann, at the end of the 18th century. Homeopathy works by using what Hahnemann called "the law of similars." This law as he defined it, states: "any substance that can cause symptoms when given to healthy people can help to heal those who are experiencing similar symptoms." We see the truth in this statement very often in our own Western practice. Immunization involves small doses of an agent of illness used to immunize patients against the disease.

Hahnermann took his approach one step further. He recommended giving "medicinal drugs" to "healthy" individuals, then documenting their physiological properties. These tests or "provings" created a baseline of physical, emotional and mental symptoms unique to each "remedy" and the correct dosage (usually very small) which both caused the symptoms and were used to treat the symptom. He catalogued his findings in what is now known as the homeopathic manual: the materia medica.

The Individualized Approach To Treating With Homeopathy

The difference between homeopathic treatment and Western medical treatment, then, lies in its individualistic approach. Instead of isolating and treating just one or two symptoms, homeopathy is individualized by taking into consideration the total physical and psychological characteristics of the whole being.

If we are to return the body to a state of balance from a state of illness, homeopathy rationalizes, we must discover the keys to the language of the body. In homeopathy it is believed, disease comes about as a result of a personal imbalance. Said differently, the physical body, in homeopathic terms, is thought to manifest illnesses from of the subconscious mind.

Treating a patient with homeopathy or what we would consider "constitutional homeopathy," involves a detailed diagnostic process. It aims to use symptoms as a means to discover cause for the underlying disease. Homeopaths believe that symptoms do not exist in a vacuum. Therefore, symptoms are thought to evolve from a single "constitutional" weaknesses which can then be remedied.

The Process Of Finding The Correct Remedy

Unlike Western medicine, one prescription is not given for each unique symptom i.e. headache, depression, stomach ache. Instead homeopathy uses one single medicine at a time. Some variations do exist and mixtures of homeopathic remedies are created in a "combination" formula. Most often there is a only a small single dose given of any particular "remedy." The goal here: to stimulate the body to heal itself without overmedication. In homeopathic terms, the medication is "potenizied" or administered in the least possible dose that can illicit a response.

Homeopathy

The word homeopathy comes from the Greek words for "suffering" and "similar." Homeopathy is the practice of treating diseases and conditions with the substance or circumstance that caused them. The best example of the basic concept of homeopathy in regular use is allergy injections which use small amounts of the allergen to immunize the patient against later exposure to the allergen.

A homeopathic remedy is created by mixing minute amounts of substances with insoluble substances like oyster shell or quartz. The theory is that the medicine created by this process will trigger the body''s natural immune system to fight the condition being treated. Scientists note that the amounts are often so minute that the statistical likelihood of the compound containing any of the original substance is minute.

Homeopathy was one of the earliest techniques of modern medicine. Homeopathic remedies have been used to treat such diseases as cholera, smallpox, scarlet fever and syphilis. Early physicians, for example, noticed the similarity of the symptoms of mercury poisoning to those of syphilis and treated patients with tiny doses of mercury. Doctors in the early 1800s used a homeopathic remedy including tiny amounts of the plant sarracenia to successfully treat smallpox. Homeopathy reached its peak in the United States in the mid-1800s but fell out of favor due to advances in modern medicine.

Many people have the misconception that homeopathic remedies are only comprised of plant ingredients. However, homeopathic medicines can use many different types of ingredients including salts, animal products and substances of human origin like scrapings from skin or hair clippings.

In the United States, homeopathic remedies are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. Companies producing homeopathic remedies are not required to provide proof that they work, nor do they have to provide information on their active ingredients since they are made up almost entirely out of inactive ingredients. Remedies for ordinary complaints such as headache, stomach problems or colds are sold over the counter, However, homeopathic remedies for serious diseases are sold only by prescription.

Homeopathy is more widely practiced than other forms of alternative medicine, but it is still controversial. Scientists say there is no scientific basis for the efficacy of homeopathic remedies. They ascribe any benefit received from homeopathy to the placebo effect. The main concern among scientists and doctors is that patients with serious conditions will rely on homeopathy instead of seeking more traditional treatments.

Is Homeopathy Crohns Treatment for You?

In a quest to feel better and to regain some semblance of a normal life, some Crohn''s patients look to alternative medicine to help them cope. This approach works great for some, but others don''t notice much of a difference. If you are struggling with immense amounts of pain, and you think that there has to be a better way, you can try homeopathy Crohns treatments to see if they will work for you.

There are medications and diet alterations that a Crohn''s patient can try, but sometimes this is just not enough. If you have questions, you can talk to your doctor about trying an alternative method for relief, such as homeopathy crohns treatments.

If you decide to go ahead and make an appointment with a homeopathic practitioner, one of the first things you will have to do when you seek homeopathy treatments is give a detailed account of your life.

This might sound daunting, but it is very necessary. You will need to be prepared to go into detail about your emotional and mental state, and also your diet habits and lifestyle choices. These details might seem a little intrusive and unrelated to your crohn''s disease, but it is all information that is needed to plan your treatment. The idea behind homeopathic treatments is to look at the body and mind as a whole and treat ailments in that way, rather than focusing on just one or two elements. You will also have to give a detailed account of your disease, and talk about your symptoms in a very personal way.

You cannot go into homeopathy Crohns treatments thinking you are going to find a cure. There is no known cure for this condition, and if someone offers you that, you might want to find someone else. You can, however, expect to get some relief from some of your more troubling symptoms.

This type of treatment focuses on your overall health as opposed to just targeting your symptoms. It attempts to boost your own natural healing abilities. It also focuses on balancing your emotions and your mental outlook on the theory that this can help improve your situation. There will be things done to relieve your symptoms, but you should know it is a more involved therapy.

In most cases, homeopathy Crohns treatments are going to involve you taking natural plants to help with the symptoms that bother you the most. When you are considering these treatments, don''t be afraid to say that you don''t know what they are, and to ask for more information. Everything should be spelled out for you, and if someone is not good at answering your questions, you might want to see someone else.

When it comes to what you are putting into your body, it is essential that you be at ease with what is going on, and what you are ingesting. You may also want to do some additional research online.

No matter what remedies you try, you should always keep the lines of communication open with your medical doctor. They need to know what is going on, and should be aware of what you are taking. There are some plants involved with homeopathy Crohns treatment that might cause problems with your prescriptions, if you are taking any, and you want to make sure that does not happen.

You should never ditch your doctor to try something new. You should be able to talk to your physician about anything you want to try. If you find your doctor is not open to accepting your choice of following homeopathy crohns treatments, you do have the option to find a doctor that is more accepting, but you should never be without someone to watch over your medical situation.

An Overview of Homeopathy Adhd Treatments

Through a number of trials Homeopathy ADHD treatments have shown to be effective in reducing the ADHD symptoms of restlessness, inattentiveness and impulsiveness.

The main treatments that most people know about and that most people with ADHD are using are stimulant medications. These act by changing chemicals in the brain to reduce symptoms. Homeopathy takes a different.

Unlike the stimulant drugs homeopathy does not try to suppress elements of an individuals behavior, rather it aims to redress any imbalance in the body naturally without altering the body with drugs. This has the outcome of reducing the symptoms of ADHD without changing or altering the personality or physical elements, one of the main side effects of stimulants.

Homeopathy reviews a person in their entirety, so practitioners will take detailed medical histories so they can address all the ailments that maybe effecting a person.

So, rather than focusing only on the ADHD, they might look at why a child always has a cold or reoccurring ear infections etc. Treatments are always individualized and the risk of side effects is low if the treatment has been accurately chosen and the dosages are correct.

Homeopathic remedies are prepared by deriving substances from plants, animals, and minerals. The most common form of this homeopathic medicine is in the form of small sweet-tasting tab that you let dissolve in your mouth. Since the taste tends to be sweet, parents treating their ADHD children generally don''t have difficulty getting them to take it.

? improved ability to concentrate more on school work
? improved social skills
? more co-operative
? improved self-esteem
? decreased physical exhaustion
? decreased mental and emotional problems

Exploring Autism Homeopathy Treatments

The diagnosis of autism is not something that means a child will have a short life, however it can mean they may have a harder life, and no parent wants that for their child or children. There is no cure for autism, and that makes the diagnosis all the harder to accept. Due to the lack of a cure, many parents turn to autism homeopathy for help and sometimes, results.

There are many that won''t use homeopathy to treat anything, as they think their doctors would tell them about these treatments if they really worked. The problem is that many have had success with these types of treatments, but without proper study and without putting a lot of money into research, most doctors will hesitate to recommend something, even if they think it will work. Even so, when anyone tries autism homeopathy treatments, it is a good idea to do so under the supervision of the family doctor as well as any homeopathic practitioner.

It is important to understand how homeopathy treatments work before trying them. Homeopathy focuses on treating the whole person and not just the symptoms. This means that ten different children with autism will have ten different treatments. No two will be alike. Parents needs to do some research before jumping in however, and they should make sure they find someone knowledgeable in homeopathy before they begin. The wrong treatments can lead to heartache and failure.

When researching, many parents will find that the most common autism homeopathy treatments are changes in diet, commonly including the elimination of milk and dairy based products. Foods such as wheat that contains gluten are problematic for some, are often eliminated as well. Anything with preservatives and artificial flavors or colors should be removed, as they can be toxic for some children. Many parents report improvement when these items are removed from the diet, but it is important to have a doctor in on the dietary changes so they can give proper nutritional advice, ensuring vital nutrients are not lost.

Some other types of autism homeopathy treatments are supplements, treatments meant to flush the body of toxins and therapy for things like socialization, speech and motor skills. Some like to use healing procedures that balance the energy of the body, much like the concepts used in acupuncture. There are also natural medications and the closely related herbs that may help as well.

For more information on other homeopathic treatments for autism sign up for the free newsletter below.

It is hard to state what the results of each treatment will be and what to expect because all children are different and all results tend to vary from child to child. The most important thing is to find a homeopathic practitioner with experience in dealing with autism so mistakes in treatments are not made.

Homeopathic Medicine Programs - Healing Education

Typical coursework involved in homeopathic medicine programs is quite rigorous. In most cases, individuals can expect to dedicate a minimum of three years to in-depth studies. In addition to learning about the principles and philosophies of homeopathy, homeopathic medicine programs introduce students to "The Organon of the Medical Art," which was written by the founder of homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann.

Now is the time to join the new generation of whole body healing by enrolling in one of a number of homeopathic medicine programs available to you today. If you''re like one of the many medical practitioners seeking new and innovative ways of providing holistic healthcare to patients, you will be pleasantly surprised at homeopathy''s unique healing system.

A Whole Healing Education

Homeopathic medicine programs invite students to gain an in-depth understanding of the human anatomy and physiology. Treating each individual as a "whole person" and not just the symptoms, homeopathy educates future practitioners in distinguishing underlying roots of diseases and disorders; and how to effectively customize treatments or treatment regimens for patients.

As most students discover, homeopathic medicine programs enrich knowledge and skills through deep history and philosophies of homeopathy. One of the fundamental laws of healing that candidates learn is the "Law of Similars," or "like cures like." Interestingly enough, this particular foundation of healing has been around for over 2,000 years; yet homeopathic medicine programs add more dimension and depth to its purposeful meaning. More specifically, the translation of the Law of Similars generally means that if one item can produce symptoms in a healthy individual, then that same item may be able to cure a sick individual who may be experiencing similar symptoms.

Promoting an entire wellness system to prevent disease and other health conditions, homeopathic medicine programs present a healing education unlike conventional medicine. Working in unison with the body, promoting self-healing mechanisms, homeopathy exists to boost immune systems, and to maintain overall wellbeing.

Outline of Common Homeopathic Medicine Programs

Typical coursework involved in homeopathic medicine programs is quite rigorous. In most cases, individuals can expect to dedicate a minimum of three years to in-depth studies. In addition to learning about the principles and philosophies of homeopathy, homeopathic medicine programs introduce students to "The Organon of the Medical Art," which was written by the founder of homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann.

Other comprehensive homeopathic education entails anatomy, pathology, physiology, acute therapeutics (homeopathic remedies for acute conditions), therapeutics, clinical studies, Materia Medica (homeopathic substances), Repertory, practice management, case management, and other associated coursework.

Are You Prepared for Entry into Homeopathic Medicine Programs?

Prior to applying, it is always a wise decision to review the selected homeopathic school or college for any prerequisites. Typically, common prerequisites like a high school diploma and other formal education are necessary for entry into homeopathic medicine programs. Other factors to take into consideration are tuition costs, length of program and independent State educational requirements.

In homeopathic schools, candidates are taught to strengthen the immune system to better combat these bacterium, which enables the human body to fend off viruses and other serious health conditions. So not only is the philosophy of "like cures like" in place, but also the understanding that the human body is capable of self-healing, given the right dose of homeopathy.

From all the educational organizations, homeopathic schools probably offer one of the more intricate healthcare programs today. Homeopathy is a system that treats disease on the foundation that "like cures like" (Similia Similbus Curantur). Baring that in mind, certain substances which cause particular symptoms in an otherwise healthy person, may help to cure like symptoms in a sick individual. With the goal to stimulate and enhance the body's immune system, homeopathic medicines are customized to meet personal healthcare needs. Theses homeopathy medicines are derived from a diverse assortment of animal material, mineral and plant sources.

The uniqueness of homeopathic schools is that when students begin learning the multifaceted aspects of homeopathy, they are simply astonished by how it all makes such perfect sense. In particular, the differences between conventional medicine and homeopathy: for example, in conventional medicine, anti-viral and antibiotic medicines are prescribed for bacterial infections; which ultimately destroys the bacteria, but does not improve the apparent weakness of the body's immunity.

Just like most traditional colleges, it is important to note that homeopathic schools do require educational prerequisites prior to enrollment; so be certain to examine the prospective institute before you apply. Also, take time to research the history and foundations of homeopathy; and don't forget to schedule a visit to your local homeopathic practitioner so you can acquire a feel for the discipline.

While no two homeopathic schools are the same in size or exact curricula, core training involves education in acute prescribing, foundational skills in homeopathy, and medical science (includes philosophy, repertory, acute case-taking, analysis and management, homeopathic pharmacy, Materia Medica, and Therapeutics). Among the programs available at homeopathic schools, individuals who have successfully completed all required education and training can opt to take post-graduate studies, as well as continuing education in homeopathy.

If you (or someone you know) are interested in finding homeopathic medicine, let professional training within fast-growing industries like massage therapy, cosmetology, acupuncture, oriental medicine, Reiki, and others get you started! Explore homeopathic schools near you.

A Brief Overview of Homeopathic Hemorrhoid Treatment

Homeopathy is another form of hemorrhoid treatment aimed at relieving the symptoms. The practice has been used for more than two centuries as a form of alternative remedy for a wide range of diseases. This here is a simple referential guide to give you a general idea of homeopathy. It''s still essential to consult a medical professional first to know the best treatment course for your hemorrhoids.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy, as previously mentioned, is an alternative medicinal procedure that differs from traditional medical treatment. Unlike its counterparts, homeopathic hemorrhoid treatment uses diluted substances to jumpstart the body''s healing abilities.

The alternative medicine is based on the theory that like cures like. Although homeopathic hemorrhoid treatment is generally free from harmful side-effects, instances of toxicity are still possible, which is why trying the treatment method on your own without help from a certified homeopathic practitioner is clearly not advised.

Curative elements of homeopathy

Homeopathic hemorrhoid treatment is always in the form of diluted preparations. The key to a successful and safe homeopathic therapy is to incredibly dilute the curative components used. At first glance, the ingredients of homeopathic preparations will seem odd and dangerous, especially at high quantities. But the process of preparing these ingredients greatly reduces the risks. On the other hand, the remedies shouldn''t be handled alone as it''s easy to make a harmful error.

Furthermore, homeopathic practitioners use a potency scale to gauge the strength of the remedies. The acceptable potency level is 30 and below, anything higher is reserved for extreme cases and should only be administered by an experienced homeopathic practitioner.

The preparations are also always taken orally, which should cause the recipient to exercise control whenever taking the diluted solution. Too much homeopathic remedy may either cause specific levels of toxicity or even subpar effects. Fortunately, instructions are always provided for self-medicating patients.

Beyond homeopathy

Like other hemorrhoid cures, immediacy is of critical importance. Result is the single-most crucial component any hemorrhoid remedy must provide. In the case of homeopathic hemorrhoid treatment, three doses without any result should prompt you to stop the therapy. This type of treatment is used to address a specific combination of symptoms: The right combination of ingredients for pain will be different for the medication used for itching or bleeding. It is helpful to know everything you can about this treatment approach before trying it out on your own, or better yet, consult an experienced homeopathic therapist first to learn more about this alternative solution to hemorrhoids.

What Is to Become of Homeopathy in the Future

This article talks about homeopathy currently and what may become of homeopathy in the future.

Homeopathy has grow in most every country around the world. However, homeopathy has grown under significant attack.

The National Health Care system in England has made it difficult to fund homeopathy due to pressure from some doctors in England. Other European countries are also following England's lead. Doctors say that there is no scientific evidence the homeopathy works and the NHS of England should not fund this type of operation. Homeopathic doctor referrals in England from general doctors has dropped significantly.

Most researchers point to very little evidence of homeopathy working. The war against homeopathy has intensified in the United Kingdom. Professor Edward Ernst and Simon Singh has challenged anyone to show homeopathy works for any condition. If someone show that it works, they will give the person $10,000 pounds. No one has yet to take the challenge. Most homeopaths think of this as a publicity stunt.

A Lancet trial done in 2005 titled the " End of Homeopathy" is what some people have used as their evidence against homeopathy. The trials showed that homeopathy is pretty much the same as a placebo. 110 trials were compared. The researchers found the larger higher quality trials to show that homeopathy is the same as a placebo. These trials were used as proof for the NHS to cut homeopathy from their system.

However, many other researchers found this trial had many issues including publication bias. The trial was not suitable for any medical journal to put into their publications. The conclusion of the Homeopathy Lancet trials is that this data is totally unreliable. Researchers manipulated the data to reach a preconceived conclusion about these trials. Conventional medicine showing a greater effect than a placebo or homeopathy was actually not true either.

Many people point to the attack on homeopathy in England as a good thing. If skeptics, scientists and medical doctors did not perceive you to be a threat, the attacks will not occur. Lancet trials where data was manipulated is also shameful. If you are going to use scientific trials against homeopathy, make sure you do them correctly. People will certainly analyze these trials to verify results and figures.

The question becomes have the attacks on homeopathy worked. That is hard to say. Homeopathy is still growing in England and everyone including medical doctors say this trend will continue. The attacks may have shunned some people away from homeopathy in the short term. There is really no evidence that the media coverage or the Lancet trials has prevented anyone from using homeopathy. Dwindling homeopathic referrals has not seen less homeopathic usage. Many people are simply buying the medicine without getting a prescription.

In summary, homeopathy continues to grow in every country every year. The attacks on homeopathy has not had significant effect on homeopathic usage. It is difficult to say whether these attacks have stinted the growth of homeopathy. The attacks certainly has not ended homeopathy popularity.

Homeopathy - Does It Work?

In 2009 leading pharmacy Boots (UK) revealed that they didn''t believe homeopathic medicine could improve your immune system. However, despite this discovery and repeated clinical trials which prove that homeopathy gives the same results achieved in placebo tests, the NHS still managed to spend over 4 million pounds in the last 12 months developing homeopathic medicines.

Astonished by the National Health Services and Boot''s ''no harm'' theories to homeopathy, more than 300 sceptics planned a mass homeopathic overdose to help increase awareness about the fact that homepathy is ineffectual.

During this public exhibition which took place on the 30th January 2010, all those actively involved in the protest openly swallowed, in public, an entire container of homeopathic tablets to prove that they are nothing more than fakes as well as hopefully prompt pharmacies to stop selling them.

What is Homeopathy?

Question consumers and they will describe homeopathy as ''all natural herbal medicine'' most of the ingredients found within this commonly accepted complementary medicine are so minisculethat there really is nothing to them.

However further background checks into the discovery of homeopathy has found that there is nothing medicinal about it, but that it is purely based on three medical concepts produced in the 18th century by Samuel Hahnemann. 3 beliefs which are still utilised in the testing of homeopathic pills to this day:

- The Law of Similars the theory where the cause of your illness can also cause them i.e. taking caffeine to remedy insomnia

- The Law of Infinitesimals where the more diluted the remedy is from water, the more potent it will be

- The Law of Succession where vigorous stirring of a homeopathic remedy would enhance its strength

Analysing this history, it is easy to understand why demonstraters are asking the government to order the NIHCE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) to assess whether it is right for the NHS to fund homeopathic remedies. Providing few if any results, all clinical studies point to the fact that they will not boost your health.
So what does work?

Recently there has been a lot of hype around a special type of berry found in the Amazon basin in Brazil. This berry is called the Acai Berry and boasts many proven health benefits.
